While you’re there… make sure you book a Contiki adventure to see everything the region has to offer!
Below are Contiki’s top 5 festivals:
1) Carnival in Brazil
Brazil, any week of the year, is an incredible experience, but if you can get yourself to Rio de Janeiro during Carnival, you hit the street party jackpot! Dance parades pumping with Samba music, the iconic colorfully decorated floats, and thousands of local and visiting revelers dressed in lavish barely-there costumes are all part of the scintillating entertainment witnessed by over 2 million people daily. The 5-day event is touted as one of the most incredible dance party spectacles in the world.
2) Oktoberfest in Germany
Beer, pretzels and pork knuckles. Known as the largest ‘People’s Fair’ in the world, more than 16 million people flock to Munich to celebrate Oktoberfest every year. Now that’s a party! There is more than just drinking from steins and national dancing though, Oktoberfest also hosts local craft and novelty market stalls, and even an amusement park! The vibe of this legendary festival will have you yearning to return again and again. Interested? Experience Oktoberfest on our incredible European Magic trip.
3) Full Moon Party in Thailand
A trip to Thailand is not the same without at least one full moon party! Today the Full Moon Party attracts thousands of tourists from around the world, making it the essential traveller’s beach hang… featuring dancing into the morning hours, bottomless buckets of moonshine, and plenty of legendary Instagram picture opportunities.
