Meet RentMoola: Laura The Customer Success Guru

Nestled in the heart of downtown Vancouver and downtown Toronto, RentMoola team members can be found performing a variety of different roles that make RentMoola the well-oiled machine that it is today.

RentMoola “opened for business” in 2013 with three powerhouses behind the wheel: Patrick Postrehovsky, Co-Founder and CEO, Phillipp Postrehovsky, Co-Founder and COO, and Andrew McLeod, CSO.

RentMoola now boasts nearly 30 employees in our Vancouver and Toronto offices to make sure that our product is the very best that it can be, and to make sure that our users have the Cadillac of customer experiences.

One by one, we’re excited to introduce our team members. Each member of our team is here not only because they’re ridiculously talented–but because they love what they do.

RentMoola helps users to handle their finances, this is a very delicate position and so we need to be armed with the Rolls-Royce of customer success. This is why RentMoola has team members like Laura, the Customer Success Guru.

Laura has been with the RentMoola team since the dawn of 2016 and since then has added her touch to the Customer Success department and it has never been better! Laura has a Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in entrepreneurship, and a Masters in Global Business, both from the University of Victoria in British Columbia. She has a long history of Customer Success and can handle any questions you’ve got! We asked Laura a few questions to allow our followers to get to know her a bit more:

Why did you start working with RentMoola?

I was searching for the opportunity to work in an innovative and team-based environment. Having gone through the painful process of writing post-dated cheques for my landlord, I was interested in the concept of paying rent online. However, it was our office’s morning yoga and afternoon beers that really sold me!

Why did you get into customer success / What series of events led to you getting into customer success?

I’ve always loved problem solving—I like my work to be challenging. I also enjoy helping people, and customer success seemed to be a natural combination of both these factors. As RentMoola continues to grow internationally, I’m looking forward to working with tenants and property managers from around the world.

Over the last five years, I’ve lived in four countries on three continents. (Thailand, Taiwan, Austria, and—of course—Canada.)

If you could have 5 famous people over for dinner (dead or alive) who would they be and what would you serve for dinner?

I love everything to do with food: eating it, cooking it, taking pictures of it for Instagram (just kidding). Perhaps this is cheating, but I would invite the top 5 chefs throughout history and ask them to cook, then sit back and enjoy the best meal ever.

What do you do when you’re not hanging out in the RentMoola offices?

Anything outdoors! Especially hiking, backpacking, kayaking. Also binge-watching pretty much any show I can get my hands on.
