Do the Math
Grocery stores will often have specials where you buy one and get one or more at a cheaper rate, but this may not always be the best deal. Even if buying two or buying the larger size is cheaper, make sure you will actually eat it before deciding to buy it. It’s better to spend a few cents more rather than waste a bunch of food.

Whether you are shopping for just yourself or your whole family, reducing the number of times you go grocery shopping will save you some money. Many grocery stores have a discount day for students so you should try and get all your shopping done on this day.
