5 Employee Perks That Will Make You Jealous

Employee Perks

On a recent retreat to California we had a chance to talk to a number of notable tech movers and shakers in the industry about unique employee perks they offer to attract and retain top talent from around the world.  There’s no question Google has the perk bar set high but, forget inhouse baristas, awesome prepared meals by award winning chefs, pet friendly offices and all the snacks your personal trainer would hate you for, this is a list of truly unique perks that employees love!

Netflix – Only 1% of companies offer an Unlimited Vacation Days policy and its for good reason.  It builds trust, flexibility and is great for recruiting.  If you abuse it you’ll get the can.

Facebook – Everyone is growing up even Facebook with their incredible perks for parents and expecting parents.  New parents receive four months of paid parental leave, reimbursement for day care and $4,000 in “baby cash” after their child is born.

DropBox – We are familiar with  parent teacher day, but have you heard of parent boss day?  Dropbox has an amazing program where they fly and host parents of intern candidate to meet their boss at work.   Enjoy a day at the office to see what Bobby really does at work, meet his boss and it’s all covered by the company.

LinkedIn – The business oriented social network for professions has their very own recording studio for employees who might want to let out some steam and rock out on the bass or bang out some beats on the drum set.  If the recording light is on, it’s serious business in the studio.  If you are unfamiliar with the instrument you can sign yourself up to a private lesson.

Asana – Ok maybe food is a winner, but who has time to prepare organic lunches and dinners every day customized based on the individuals diet preference? Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian on a paleo crazy there is a full-time chef on staff who prepares just about anything.

We are always trying to think of ways we can add value with more perks and rewards through RentMoola that we can enjoy in at the workplace or at home.  Let us know what unique perks you have around the office!
