RentMoola Recognized As One Of BC’s Next $1 Billion Tech Companies

RentMoola is one of the “most talked-about Canadian tech companies” in recent years according to Canadian Business.

RentMoola solves the age-old problem that paying and collecting rent is a major hassle. We’re an online global payment network that allows tenants and owners to pay rent and other payments by credit card, debit card, RM Direct Debit or RM Cash while earning rewards. Our members have access to the MoolaPerks program that provides exclusive deals to travel, lifestyle, home services and other rewards redeemable across North America, UK and Europe.

And right now, RentMoola is receiving ample recognition in the tech industry in BC. Today, the BC Technology Industry Association (BCTIA) kicked-off of the first day of programming for HyperGrowth, a second-stage revenue accelerator program developed to establish British Columbia’s next round of $1 billion technology companies.

With mentors and advisors from some of Vancouver’s leading technology companies, the panel of judges (comprised of some of Vancouver’s top tech companies, included Jeff Booth from BuildDirect, Dan Zitting from ACL, Matt Switzer from Hootsuite, Igor Faletski from Mobify, Dan Eisenhardt from Recon, and Michael McCarthy from TELUS) concluded that RentMoola had just what they were looking for and awarded RentMoola top honours!

“The caliber of companies applying to HyperGrowth was incredible,” said BCTIA President and CEO, Bill Tam. “It was clear from the volume of applications received that we have found an important niche that is currently missing from the market. There are several high-potential tech companies in our midst who are looking to grow to the next level, and they need more than startup-focused resources to help them get there. They’re ready to experience second-stage programming, they’re ready for HyperGrowth.”

RentMoola was surrounded by some real talent in this competition and would like to extend a giant CONGRATULATIONS and a tip of the hat to each contender.
