Spring is officially here! Now is the perfect time to clean and declutter your apartment before summer comes. Your apartment deserves a deep clean and here are some tips to help you start things off.

Start Cleaning

After a long winter, your apartment could use some extra care. It’s best to dust the crevices that you missed during the colder months. It’s common to get your carpets professionally cleaned in the Spring, but this can be costly if you move frequently.  If you can’t afford to get your apartment cleaned professionally, it’s important to fully vacuum your entire apartment and get rid of all the dirt from winter.

Your kitchen and bathroom could also use some a nice deep clean. For the sake of cleanliness and germs, you should make the effort to wipe down all your cabinets inside and out to get rid of any sticky messes.

You should also tackle the cleaning of your windows. It’s best to clean them later in the day and preferably when it’s cloudy out. Head here for more tips on how to keep your windows looking sparkly clean.

Redecorate

Get ready for Spring by adding some colour to your walls. Spring is the perfect time to redecorate and a coat of paint can change the look and feel of any room. Another way to redecorate and lighten up your room is by changing up your curtains or putting out some flower arrangements.

Clean the Closets

Most apartments have limited closet space so you can’t afford to waste any of it. Check out our guide for best closet cleaning tips. It may be difficult to part with some of your belongings, but if you haven’t worn it in in the last 6-8 months then you probably never will.
